+Two years later an aroused village came to my master, and the men casting themselves on the ground before him, told him of the evil that had come out of the desert. The wizard, Johan, and, I hate to say it, my brother, joining themselves to the forces of evil, had caused a pest of ants to devour the food in the homes of the people and even the homes themselves, saying that unless ten camels laden with gold were sent to them, a dire calamity would befall them.
+“Oh, sire,” the spokesman of the village cried, “we are poor people; we could not load two camels with gold, let alone ten. You must help us.”
+“Let not your minds become anxious or your spirits downcast,” Kimbaw answered. “Know this: good overshadows evil as a mountain casts its reflection in a lake. Go home, put your troubles from your mind, gather your wives and children, and go to the hill that lies behind the village and contemplate the sunset. In two sunsets this evil shall be removed.”
