IN THIS Department will be given interpretations of dreams and visions of those needing to know their inner meaning. We reserve for it only those of special interest and helpfulness. IN THIS Department will be given interpretations of dreams and visions of those needing to know their inner meaning.  THREE or four years ago Mother attended a Christian Science lecture. As she sat in the audience waiting for the speaker to appear she had a strange vision. She saw me come out on the platform (a wonderfully different “me”) dressed in a beautiful pink fringle dress and white slippers, and appearing oh, so poised and greatly confident and looking so charming.  Your mother’s vision was really a glimpse given her by her Higher Self of the real you and of the possibilities awaiting you. If it is your earnest desire to make that vision a reality, the way is shown in these Lessons, and it is wholly possible for you to attain it. Your mother’s vision was really a glimpse given her by her Higher Self of the real you and of the possibilities awaiting you.  I HAD a curious dream. Do you remember my problem about food? My little sister had a birthday party, and had a fine delicious cake about which everybody raved. There was not quite enough cake for my brother to have two slices, so I told him I did not want any (of course I did, but I was practicing self-denial at the time), and he ate my slice. I HAD a curious dream.  Your dream of the piece of cake with the serpent in it is really an illustration of what we were trying to tell you in our previous letter, but which you did not want to accept. A piece of cake symbolizes the sweets of life that appeal to the animal appetite, and every over-indulgement of that appetite finds a serpent lurking in such sense enjoyment. Your soul was trying to tell you this in your dream and also urged you to warn your brothers of it. Your dream of the piece of cake with the serpent in it is really an illustration of what we were trying to tell you in our previous letter, but which you did not want to accept.
