-HOW OFTEN have I asked myself the question “Have I really made any progress, not so much in the study and theory of Truth, but in its application to my daily living?”
-During the last week as I examined myself as to this, in some way I could not get away from the term “An open mind!” Every moment when I was alone this term presented itself to me, and I meditated upon the value of having an open mind, willing and receptive to learn new ways. I remembered that line from the old hymn:
-“I was not ever thus
-Nor prayed that Thou should’st lead me on
-Pride ruled my ways, remember not past days.”
-At first I had only thought to give myself a rather self-congratulatory pat on the head for having achieved a more open mind on certain tasks near at hand, but becoming more serious as the phrase lingered with me I meditated upon just what the term could mean.
-“Why,” I said to myself, “it means that the little mortal mind has opened itself to let the great Universal Mind take complete control!”
-Again I thought of the word “open.” Open to the wide glorious spaces where every barrier has been swept away, the great open spaces of the sky where only glimmering stars remind us of the vastness of the Universe.
-Then I received the revelation that there can be no bondage when the mortal mind has opened itself to the inflow of the Universal Mind. Intolerance, slavery to age-old superstition, to fear, self-consciousness, self-pity, resentment—such barriers that obstruct clear vision are swept away. One feels the mind swept clean of all that would obstruct the flow of revelation from the Universal Mind.
-Humbly I accepted the lesson, for sometimes my mind folds itself together as a flower turns from the sun and refuses to open itself to the loving Voice that cautions, “Be patient, be kind, be tolerant, be receptive.”

-IVAN NARODNY, former Russian revolutionist, writer and business man, who went into seclusion six years ago to discover the key of time, announced yesterday at his apartment, 564 Riverside Drive, that he was on the threshold of success. He had temporarily interrupted his hermit’s life, he said, because of the arrival in New York of Dr. Lao Chin, whose address is the Gobi Desert, Mongolia, and whose archeological researches into Mongol pre-history, he said, had confirmed his own findings in the new intuitional science which he calls “chronosophy.”
-His major results, he says, will be in shape for publication before the end of the summer. But their implications, which were first suggested to him more than thirty years ago by another hermit, Master Feodosi, who lived in the forests of Pskoff, in Russia, will be so revolutionary that publication may have to be delayed.
-“The key I have been searching,” said Mr. Narodny, “will unlock the future and the past, and will give mankind the same control over the world of time as we now have over the world of space. I have worked out a method of auto-psychoanalysis which produces intuitional moods in myself and others who have tried it. In these moods, the interrelation of events in history, on which all oracles based their predictions, becomes so clear that time appears for the first time in its true meaning.”
-“Time is not a string of events arranged in a straight line. It is something that is all around us. When we have recaptured the intuitional faculties which this science is studying, and which the Western world has lost in recent centuries because of its crass materialism, we shall master time, both the past and the future, as we have already mastered space.”
-Dr. Chin, a follower of Tseiben Hegen, the rebel lama of the Gobi Desert who has defied the Living Buddha, left New York yesterday for Washington. But his arrival on Monday was important, Mr. Narodny said, because it had given him a chance to check the experiments in time analysis which they had been conducting jointly in New York and Mongolia.
-Except for Master Feodosi, Mr. Narodny said his only precursor in the science of “chronosophy” was also a Russian, the late Velemir Khlebnikoff, who rewrote the history of his country in mathematical formulae in “Otryvok iz Dosok Sudby” (“Billboard of Destiny”). But a true understanding of the time dimension, he added, required more skilled and patient work along intuitional and emotional lines, and it is this that he has all but completed.—From a Newspaper Clipping.

Then why should you think that the body can be aided and assisted by cutting it open and removing some of its vital organs? Thousands of persons, said to have appendicitis, have saved their lives and recovered from their illness by refusing to have their bodies cut open and their vital organs removed.
