====== The Inner Life ====== == THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | AUGUST 1933 == ---- are his teachings and regardless of whether he is strictly living his teachings or not; and also to show how easy it is, as has been proven by many founders of such movements when power comes to them through the blind faith of followers, to succumb to the temptations that pour in from every side. There seems to be no doubt that Brother XII was given the chance by the Great White Lodge to help lay the foundation of the New Aquarian Age, the plan of which he was privileged to see more clearly than others back in 1926; and that so long as he was humble and obedient to the Lodge’s leadings it enabled him to do all that he accomplished that was helpful and uplifting,—such as the giving out of The Message, The Three Truths, the monthly Aquarian teachings, and later The Foundations Letters and Teachings, a book that created world wide interest. Our interest in him naturally has been more than casual, being the publisher of his writings, but during the past four years we have not been in any way in touch with him, hearing of him only semi-occasionally from others. His recent exploits seem to have finished him and to have placed him now altogether without the pale of the law of men; for he and his companion have disappeared and will probably not return to Canada, with the indictments and judgments hanging over their heads. We are glad to quote further from the editorial in the June, 1933, issue of The Occult Review, whose editor was likewise interested in this unusual man, and whose {{ :8-15.jpg? |}} ---- //⥳ [[editorial_aug33_6|previous page]] // | // [[editorial_aug33_8|next page]] ⥴ //
