Can you not see therefore, because the world has reached the end of another term of life’s school, that the Great Teachers in Spirit have brought Their pupils to this examination period where they have to be humbled, have to be made to face themselves, so that they can be shown the true meaning of all the experience through which they have passed in the last term of two thousand years, and the purpose of all the knowledge and power gained?

In other words they have to be made to see that this knowledge and power is not for their own selfish use, but is for the use of their fellows—of humanity as a whole. They have to be shown that this knowledge and power comes from God and is for His use only. In order to prove this to them, all that it brought them is taken away, and they learn their inability of themselves to make any use of their knowledge or power. Through repeated failure they acknowledge the futility of their efforts alone to accomplish anything. Then finally they are led to turn to God.

Friends, helpers, teachers then always appear who work to acquaint them with God, who tell of His Love and His desire to help every one of His children who truly love and trust Him, and prove it by obeying His teaching. They are shown what He has done for these teachers and helpers and others, thus inspiring hope and faith in their hearts; and gradually they are led to become followers of Christ or of whatever Divine Form in which God has made Himself known to them.

Of course this has been brought about following a definite law of growth and of guidance from the Spiritual Realm. In other words, it is all part of the Plan, which is perfectly known by Those Who are in charge of humanity and Who are responsible for the perfect fulfillment
