=== FEAR ===
IN A previous article we considered the meaning of “concern,” and the importance of not allowing our minds to become concerned about anything. Herein we will show just what influence “fear” is having over the minds of a great many people these days.

Few realize that means are being used in insidious and we might say in devilish ways to create fear in the minds of as many people as possible—in all those who will listen and thus open themselves to the suggestions that are being subtly instilled into them.

Yes, we know that the majority will not accept this, and will scoff at such an idea. But let all such try to answer satisfactorily to themselves the following questions.

Why do they think the newspapers are filled with talk of war, constantly holding the thought of it before their readers? Why do they constantly print in “scareheads” every sensational happening, consistently seek news that will prove sensational, and then play up everything as sensationally as possible—especially the crimes, murders and immoralities of the day?

Why do the movies give us and go out of their way to portray the crimes, sex stories, and highly sensational phases of life that comprise most of their programs these days? Why the same thing in the Radio broadcasts, and in the magazines?

Their answer would probably be, “That is what the people want.” Yes, it is what they think they want, and why? Because most people are like sheep—they follow wherever they are led. Which means they believe all that they read or are told in these different “mediums of instruction;” and because they have been fed so long and so much of such food intended to arouse and stimulate their emotions, and thus lure them into the astral realm of illusion, desire and emotions, they have grown to think they cannot get along without sensation, and consequently seek it wherever they can find it. Is not that the life that many of your friends are living these days?

Where does “fear” enter into this situation? Let us see.
