====== The Inner Life ====== == THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | JULY 1936 == ---- ==== JESUS CHRIST ==== THE WORLD today knows Jesus Christ as a man, even as it did nineteen hundred years ago; but the time is ripe when all who truly love Him, the man, shall know Me as I AM. I came to the world to be a Light unto men, to lead those who are walking in the darkness of misunderstanding back unto My Father. I came to show all men the way unto salvation—the way to freedom from sin, sickness, inharmony, lack and limitation of whatsoever kind. I came to teach men who and what I AM—that I alone am the Way, the Truth and the Life; that no man cometh unto the Father except by Me. I came also to be a living pattern unto the world, came in the image and likeness of My Father, that all men in seeing Me, in hearing My Words, and in knowing of My Life might have an Ideal that will ever lead them back to Him; even as My Light within their souls will always inspire and point them toward the attainment of that Ideal. For as that Light I am His Life within that groweth them, that moldeth and fashioneth them according to the pattern of Me, His Image and Likeness shining in their souls; I am likewise the Fruit that will finally crown their outer lives. But mistake not, beloved, I am not a man; I but put on the form of man the better to make known to the minds of men what I AM within each of them, and what awaits them when they attain unto their full growth of Oneness with Me. That growth, however, comes only by knowing Me as I AM, by turning within to Me, by waiting upon and following wherever I lead. It is My Voice speaking from out their hearts that points them the Way unto Me, teaches them the Truth of our Oneness, and tells them of My Love-Life seeking to express Itself fully through them as perfect health, strength and understanding. For, blessed of God, I AM LOVE. I am God’s Holy Spirit, His Love—His Pure Life within thee, which alone fully expresseth Him. {{ :36-307.jpg |}} ---- //⥳ [[his_lamp|previous page]] // | // [[jesus_christ_jul36_2|next page]] ⥴ //
