EVERY face reflects what its owner is carrying about in his consciousness. Sour faces, scowling faces, sinister faces, pinched faces, bloated faces, do not house beautiful thoughts. Our physical bodies and the faces that top them, and which faithfully express the nature of the soul within, are the results not only of what we have acquired in this life, but of what we brought along with us when entering it. A hunchback bears in his body the stigma of past mistakes—shall we say, of all his former “twisted thoughts.” The bodies we find ourselves in when we reach maturity are what we as souls have unconsciously built as the ones best suited for learning the lessons and gaining the soul qualities that will round out our characters into symmetrical and harmonious development. They serve as bridges, as it were, between our past mistakes and future possibilities. {{ :3405-29.jpg |}} ---- //⥳ [[socrates_apology_2|previous page]] // | // [[money_the_servant_of_man|next page]] ⥴ //
