====== The Inner Life ====== == THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | DECEMBER 1936 == ---- If you want that you will stay with it until you get it. We have been stressing this step in this department, in the Mind articles and others, for months past, trying to get all Inner Workers prepared for this special time; and a few are now able consciously as souls to take charge of their minds and to train and discipline them. Many are doing this now unconsciously—that is, unconsciously of who is doing it, thinking they are that thinking part located in their brains, and are not aware of that quiet intelligence and power within who is inspiring, directing and enabling the outer self to do all that it does. That intelligence and power is you, the one and only self, who have been guiding, directing, teaching and enabling the outer part of you to do all that it has ever done. Why have we been so insistently stressing this step? Because it is the step every soul must take before it can attain its maturity as a “living” soul, so that when possessed of all of its Divine faculties it can then do the work it has back through the ages been preparing to do, and the special work it came here to do at this particular time. This will give you a glimpse of what is awaiting every earnest and determined soul. Are you one of such? Your inner reaction to these words will tell you. ————o———— === “PHYSICIAN HEAL THYSELF” === I HAVE wanted much to lecture and heal. Years ago I visioned myself lecturing. But I have seen so many who lectured—then when home did not live it. I vowed I would live it first. I have expected so much of myself. I hope now I am ready. As to healing, Oh such wonderful results have come lately. I have always said I would be content with nothing but instantaneous healing, and that is what I am getting now. For this week! And best of all was this: I have never been ill since I took up healing, but last week the arch in my left foot broke—and I mean it was broken. And how it did hurt! I accepted the fact too. So during this situation, while giving treatment to a friend, she asked, “Can you heal yourself?
