====== The Inner Life ====== == THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | DECEMBER 1936 == ---- I let it go for three days. During this time I could hardly walk. Then one night I said, “Well, Anna, the bible says, ‘Physician, heal thyself.’ And you sure are one fine example if you cannot do it.” I do not know if I did anything, other than as I went to bed I rubbed it gently and loved it; but I knew there would be no further trouble. I did not use my mind power—I never do in treatments. The next day I put on new shoes, and walked and walked miles, and never a pain; and the toes are lifted again to normal. So I know now I am ready to heal. And I was so thankful for the broken arch, because without proving to myself the fact that I could heal myself, I never would have been quite certain. Could you but know how happy I am. ————o———— === INNER WORK === I HAVE had some experiences in Inner Work. Several whom I have brought into the Noonday Chalice have been greatly helped. Work on conditions in the city have been productive of good. A Walkathon was planned to be brought here and to occupy a certain building. I saw the Christ Light around and in this building. After I began to work, the Woman’s Club took the matter up. The result was that certain City Laws were passed and the license was not granted. At that time there was already one Walkathon going. I saw the Christ Light in that place and in the attendants. So many complaints were published in the paper regarding it that in about ten days they left town. I worked for a man who had been out of work for eight years. He lost his job and other income about the same time and was having a hard time getting along; but in the meantime he studied up on his work. I was led to direct the Christ Light to him, and saw it around him every time I thought of him for about a week. Then one day he came out the house and told me that, out of a clear sky, he had been offered a job at $250.00 per month. He was elated and took the job; he seems like a changed man.
