====== The Inner Life ====== == THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | OCTOBER 1936 == ---- late, from the results of their own past folly, caused chiefly by ignorance and a wrong understanding of the laws of life. And even as the knowing ones in 1928 had practically two years to unload and be wholly free before the great depression was felt, so have the knowing ones in Christ two years to help as many as possible to free themselves from the load of sin and ignorance they are carrying, before the necessity is finally faced of making “the right-hand turn.” The whole world is now in the King’s Chamber. How can that be when the King’s Chamber is the “Secret Place of the Most High,” the abiding place of the Father, and humanity is in such various stages of spiritual unfoldment, the great masses seemingly far from any real spiritual attainment? Try to realize that if the whole world was passing through the Depression, symbolized by the Last Low Passage of the Pyramid, then it must now be in the King’s Chamber. Let us study carefully just what the King’s Chamber symbolizes in the life of every human being. We indicated in last month’s article, “The Coming Change,” in this Department, that the world is “at the end of another term in life’s School, that all men are come to examination time, and that everyone must face the Examiner and must prove whether he has learned his lessons and is ready to go forward into the next class, or if he is to stay where he is.” It was also indicated on page 391 that “the King’s Chamber is the great Initiation Hall for the world, as well as for each individual,” and that the world as the Initiate will be tested and tried during the next two years to see how many of mankind will make “the right-hand turn.” If you can see that at this time every individual in the world is rapidly becoming freed from all outer limitations, from all beliefs and inhibitions imposed upon him by ignorance and wrong teachings, because he is being required to face his Higher Self—Jesus Christ—the Light which lighteth him, the Great Initiator—in the Secret Place, the Initiation Hall within his own soul,—you will realize how each man will actually go through the ordeal of Initiation, how in facing the Radiance and Glory of his Lord Jesus Christ his soul will be stripped of everything not able to abide in {{ :36-471.jpg |}} ---- //⥳ [[the_impersonal_work_oct36|previous page]] // | // [[the_impersonal_work_oct36_3|next page]] ⥴ //
