We call to the attention of our readers three of the greatest and most significant books it has been our privilege to read and to recommend.

When THE SUN OF HIGHER UNDERSTANDING—the oldest—first came to our notice, it was glanced through and found to be difficult reading and was laid aside, despite the much that was claimed for it by the Publisher.
