I DON’T see—
How the administration on a platform of sound money and an oath to uphold the constitution can hold the respect of men, in the light of ’59 cent dollars and of the U. S. Supreme Court decisions;
How we can rely on our Government if it dishonors its agreement on its bonds and certificates;
How it is fitting for those who were elected to uphold the constitution to use that office to destroy it;
How wages can be paid if Government control makes it impossible for a business to pay;
How destruction of cattle and grain and curtailment of production can help anyone;
How the establishment by law of prices above the market price can overcome the law of supply and demand or escape the loss of foreign markets;
How Miss Perkins finds authority for stating “the function of the Government is to serve as a stimulating agent”;
How we can expect a congressman to oppose a Presidential “must” and lose an allotment for his State of $4,800,000,000;
How it is possible to avoid becoming Soviet if a majority depend on bureaucrats for pay and support;
How debasing the dollar and confiscating gold produced anything but more debt and less credit, or how paying more for gold than the market can be justified.
