IVAN NARODNY, former Russian revolutionist, writer and business man, who went into seclusion six years ago to discover the key of time, announced yesterday at his apartment, 564 Riverside Drive, that he was on the threshold of success. He had temporarily interrupted his hermit’s life, he said, because of the arrival in New York of Dr. Lao Chin, whose address is the Gobi Desert, Mongolia, and whose archeological researches into Mongol pre-history, he said, had confirmed his own findings in the new intuitional science which he calls “chronosophy.”

His major results, he says, will be in shape for publication before the end of the summer. But their implications, which were first suggested to him more than thirty years ago by another hermit, Master Feodosi, who lived in the forests of Pskoff, in Russia, will be so revolutionary that publication may have to be delayed.

“The key I have been searching,” said Mr. Narodny, “will unlock the future and the past, and will give mankind the same control over the world of time as we now have over the world of space. I have worked out a method of auto-psychoanalysis which produces intuitional moods in myself and others who have tried it. In these moods, the interrelation of events in history, on which all oracles based their predictions, becomes so clear that time appears for the first time in its true meaning.”

“Time is not a string of events arranged in a straight line. It is something that is all around us. When we have recaptured the intuitional faculties which this science is studying, and which the Western world has lost in recent centuries because of its crass materialism, we shall master time, both the past and the future, as we have already mastered space.”

Dr. Chin, a follower of Tseiben Hegen, the rebel lama of the Gobi Desert who has defied the Living Buddha, left New York yesterday for Washington. But his arrival on Monday was important, Mr. Narodny said, because it had given him a chance to check the experiments in time analysis which they had been conducting jointly in New York and Mongolia.

Except for Master Feodosi, Mr. Narodny said his only precursor in the science of “chronosophy” was also a Russian, the late Velemir Khlebnikoff, who rewrote the history of his country in mathematical formulae in “Otryvok iz Dosok Sudby” (“Billboard of Destiny”). But a true understanding of the time dimension, he added, required more skilled and patient work along intuitional and emotional lines, and it is this that he has all but completed.—From a Newspaper Clipping.
