Here is something else that should be carefully observed by every reader, should occasion require the proving of it in his or her own need or in the need of dear ones:
During the following months there may come to some—without warning—something that will cause a great fear to grip the mind. This will be to them an opportunity to apply the teachings and prove the truths learned in the past. That fear may be overpowering, for a time. These words, however, are to show what must be done to enable one to rise above and master that fear.
The only thing to do at such time is to turn at once to God in fervent, heartfelt prayer, and stay with Him until mind and heart are quiet, and the Comforter within can remind them of these truths and of Jesus’ words, “If ye abide in Me, and let My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you.”
This is a definite promise, dear friends, of our Lord and Master, the Christ within every man, and for all who learn to abide in Him, and to let His words and the truths they have been taught abide in their minds at that time, their earnest prayers will be heard and answered. Which means that all fear will be driven from their minds and they will be shown the true meaning and necessity of abiding in the Lord every moment of the day, doing everything solely to please Him.
But they must not be concerned about results, about tomorrow or about anything happening or that may happen in the outer world, but with mind and heart ever fixed on Him in a simple, childlike, perfect love and trust, just KNOW that He will take care of everything.
This is the only way to freedom and safety from what may be happening both in the outer and in the invisible world these days.
Now our final word to our readers. Look not for or expect miracles, tribulations, catastrophies, or outstanding phenomena. “The change that is now taking place is in the hearts and minds of humanity. That change must precede the outward change and will surely bring into full manifestation the New Jerusalem, for those who are able to enter and abide therein.”
