Then only can he truthfully say, “I am God.” And as one teacher words it, can “Remember it with pride, but say it with great reverence, because it is truly a wonderful thing to contemplate.”

Jesus, “Who thought it not robbery to be equal with God,” proved his equality by his works—the only way it can ever be proven. He was conscious of His divinity in every phase of His Consciousness and Nature. He was all Wisdom, Love, Justice, Knowledge, and Understanding, and that is the Christ toward which all men are working. The Christ Consciousness means Sonship. And let us remember God had a Son, who worked for and with His Father.

There is a reciprocal action between God and man that cannot be overlooked. It is manifest in all nature, in the ebb and flow of the waves, the positive and negative of electricity, the masculine positive and the feminine passivity. What is in creation must be in the Creator, in its final essence. As Spirit acts within itself so there is an interaction between all creation.

All great writers have stressed this dual play. One, having written innumerable books on man’s dominion, ends one of his last writings by asserting that the most important thing is to trust; that God is the one to trust, but that also there must be someone who trusts; there must be an action of trust within all action. Another says, “Regulate all your actions to God,” and then repeats that God is the only actor. Again that double action.

And so on all through the teachings of these wonderful men, including those of our beloved Master, man’s absoluteness—his part in God—is shown; but trust is stressed by them all. Again the interaction—dominion and trust. Lack of trust is simply impatience, and impatience is a gate that one builds and then has to open and pass through before one can go forth to find the Kingdom.

Man, having discovered that he is all there is, must act and manifest his allness. And when he manifests it in all his characteristics, qualities and activities, his works will proclaim his divinity. Then a voice from heaven will announce, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Back of the powerful utterances of Jesus Christ was the full consciousness of His Divinity.
