The Inner Life

DEAR Friends:

I have attempted to answer this paper several times, but could not bring myself to do it. I hope I may make my reason clear. I have nothing to conceal, and if more detailed answers are required, I shall gladly make them.

Once I would have been so proud to have filled out this document; to tell you of the years of seeking and study; of the large number of occult and mystical books read; of the advantages gained from reading not only public libraries, but having access to some very fine private occult and mystical collections; to tell you that I studied under the direction of not only a “master,” but of “Masters” for nearly six years; that I possess the natural talent of psychometry, etc., etc., etc.

Right now, with your permission I shall answer Question 12 first:

In The Impersonal Life I have not only found all the teachings I have ever had, but I have found that for which I have sought for so many years. When I started out, Nov. 3rd, on my journey to what I call “The Land of Beginning Again,” I took along a copy of The Impersonal Life, and my Bible. The latter is now a NEW book to me. Next to the Bible The Impersonal Life is the Book of all books. “It restoreth my soul.” I cannot find words to thank the author. The Book has changed my whole life.

Returning to the Questionnaire—after reading the volume, The Impersonal Life, my soul knew it had FOUND that for which it had been seeking. During the past year I have averaged three hours prayer, study, meditation and contemplation of the Book, and the Lessons, which are equally wonderful. Since coming to the ranch—for I am alone on a dryland ranch; I have spent most all my spare time studying the Book, the Lessons—and letting the Father live me.
