IN THIS Department will be included teachings of those who have had truths for more advanced students, especially for those who have received the monthly lessons in the Papers during the past five years.

Some of our readers perhaps may not be able to grasp these truths, but we urge if so that they reserve them for future study and consideration, as they will contain matter of vital moment to the soul, when it is grown ready to receive and use it as intended.

MORE and more impressively is the necessity of constantly watching and praying being felt these days by all Inner Workers. No, not for self, as was shown to our friend in the following letter, but that they may always be alert and ready when called upon to help in another’s need.

Self has so many interests, and makes so many demands upon one’s time, that unless mind and heart are ever turned to and waiting upon the Loving One within, one either does not note the silent calls that come, or some important (?) interest requires one’s attention and presence elsewhere. There are so many social calls, so many movies, so many magazines and books to read, so much trivial talk with friends, that one has little time to give to God, to specific meditation and to definite efforts at cleansing and preparing one’s mind to be a selfless instrument for His use.

Yes, many workers are not yet fully willing, nor ready, to deny themselves these things, thinking surely God would not require one to give up all pleasure; that one has to be human and sensible and must not grow morbid on the religious side of one’s nature. Such are the excuses given, not realizing that it is purely self inspiring them, which thus retains its influence over the mind and prevents its complete surrender to the Loving One within, and that such surrender must be made before the Kingdom of His Consciousness can be entered and the mind can abide therein.

Therefore, the true need can be easily seen of watching carefully and continually that no opportunity for meditation be missed and that no chance be stolen by self preventing your mind’s turning to and waiting upon the Master within, for His Word showing you where He would have you serve.

We cannot impress upon you too strongly the necessity of such continual watching, if you wish to be wholly worthy, and are truly
