The Inner Life

The location was forty miles away. We have no car. He stood there and said, “Well, I will try to get a taxi.” He phoned for one, but found the fare was $13.50. He then sent out his call for transportation, and as he stood there, a strange gentleman, who had worked with him, spoke to him and said, “If you will buy the gas—$2.00 worth, I will take you.”

So much for that, he went to Calabasas.

Then my husband said, “A strange thing happened—at noon I was taken suddenly ill with a rush of blood to the head. I thought I was going to leave the earth. I did not go to lunch but sat down, feeling I had better be excused and go home. In about ten minutes I suddenly found myself perfectly well and never felt better in my life.”

I relate this to you, for I know you rejoice when you hear that we students are doing good work.

DEARLY Beloved Ones, with you I wait in perfect peace; for I know with you that the dawn will herald the New Day, and Its Light will fill our minds with such illumination as we have never known. For are we not firmly established in faith, in God, on the Rock of Truth?

For months we, in our little group of disciples of Light, have been preparing for this Great Day, using the Divine Will in us as reason dictated—not as feeling urged, but ever Divine guidance, knowing the power of Peace, and the deep peace of Power, realizing the Presence within as well as without, and especially in our brother men.

Thus we have widened our understanding, and have found the Tree of Light and Life, have found and used the Righteousness which has so far unfolded in our souls. We know the Present, and await the fulfillment of the Revelations of the Future, promised to those who have ears to hear and eyes to see—and who have prepared themselves for the “new heaven and the new earth.”

We have all striven and done our best, in thought, word and deed, and are waiting at the Gate of the City, the New Jerusalem.
