+Adam, it can be seen from the above, represents and sym- bolizes the first reborn souls of the race, and the second chapter of Genesis shows how all souls after their rebirth, after being brought into the Garden of Eden, have then to be sent forth to redeem their body or outer consciousness and the animal forces comprising it. At the beginning of the race to do this the soul had to extend its consciousness into the body into a brain mind, in order to direct this work of redemption. When all these forces are lifted up or drawn inward and back into the soul’s consciousness, mind and soul will then be reunited and be as one again.
