The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | JULY 1937

I KNOW—I AM—GOD

FROM a student comes the following change of the words in chapter “Finding Me,” pages 150-1, of The Impersonal Life; stating that speaking them in the consciousness indicated she has been greatly helped, and she hopes that it may help others.—THE EDITOR.

BELOVED Father, I acknowledge Your loving Words of Instruction, and I know them to be Truth.

I know I AM—YOU, God. For I AM YOU! YOU are ALL that I AM!

I know YOU are my Life; I know all Wisdom, Love and Power abides in this Life; that It is flowing through me at all times, freely flowing through my entire being.

YOU are my Life! YOU are my Intelligence! YOU are my Power! You are all the Life, Intelligence and Power that is in all substance—in the cells of my body, and in the cells of all mineral, vegetable and animal matter; in fire, water, air; in Sun, Moon and Stars. YOU, GOD, are all that in me and in them IS!

Their Consciousness is one with my consciousness; all is my consciousness, because Your Consciousness—the One and Only Consciousness—is mine. Through the One Consciousness in all, all that they have or are is mine—for the asking.

I now speak to them IN YOUR NAME, I speak in the Consciousness of my Oneness with YOU. I speak in the Consciousness of YOUR POWER in me and YOUR INTELLIGENCE in them. I speak—I command what I will in this Consciousness, and the Universe rushes to obey!

I rise up and I accept NOW my divine heritage!

I open wide my soul, my mind, my body, and breathe in YOUR Breath of Life! I KNOW that YOU, my Father, are filling me full to overflowing with YOUR Divine Power, and that every fibre, every nerve, every cell, every atom of my being is now consciously alive with YOU! alive with YOUR Health, YOUR Strength, YOUR Intelligence, YOUR Being!

For YOU ARE ALL I AM—we are NOT separate. We could not possibly be separate, for YOU are Myself—My REAL SELF, My REAL LIFE,—YOU are manifesting YOUR LIFE and all YOUR Powers in Me NOW!

I AM now fully awake! I rise up and assert My Sovereignty! I KNOW Myself and My Powers! I KNOW that all YOU have is Mine! I KNOW that Your Omnipotent Life is flowing through Me, and I can take of it and build of It what I will; that It will manifest for Me as Health, Power, Prosperity, Union, Happiness, Peace—anything that I command.

I SEE it! I THINK it! I KNOW it! With all the positiveness at My command, I now speak the Creative Word, and It will not return to Me void!

GIVING

THE WAY to be happy is the way to be good,
For the two go hand in hand;
We cannot receive if we do not give,
For giving is God’s command.

The river gives to the earth its life,
And the earth brings forth the seed;
The sower reaps the harvest bright,
That gives us what we need.

The mountains give their wealth of gold,
And the valleys give even more,
In fruits, and flowers, and running brooks,
From Nature’s exhaustless store.

Good thoughts are gifts we all can give,
And they soothe like the morning dew;
They banish the wrong that makes us ill
And change the false to true.
