vision lasted only a very short time, when it faded, and I was bathed and completely enveloped in a blue vapor, or atmosphere. The music had ceased.

I cannot describe the sensations experienced while in this electric blue vapor, but it was beyond words. After a time, I became aware of my surroundings again, and listened for the music, but it came no more. I repeated the words of one or two of the hymns over and over to myself, saying I would be sure to remember them until I could write them down—but they were not intended for earthly ears or ears, I am sure, for I have only the memory of their inspiration and beauty, and the ethereal quality of the music.

As I could not sleep, I lay there, in my purely material mind, rehearsing what had transpired, and wondered if it was a foretaste of the other world I would doubtless soon enter. And then a Voice spoke to me.

“Do you remember when you lay on the operating table a year ago for the second time in a week, and while under the ether wondering this physical shell was being hatched up when it seemed so useless, you were told that your work was not finished yet, and that you would have to suffer much more before you were finally ‘freed’? (If you have my letter of last August on file, you will know what these refer to).

The Voice went on, “Well, this is the end of your suffering, and from now on, everything—health, finances, and all the important things of material life—will be smoothed out and made easier for you, so that you can devote yourself to what you came here to do.”

I have been so sure that this is true and that everything is going to be different, that the appearance of some very unpleasant things cannot upset that faith.

YOU CERTAINLY have been going through the fires, but we know there is a wise and loving purpose back of it all. The very fact that you were assured your work is not yet finished and that you had to come back to take up the tasks before you, proves that your chastening is almost over.

Hold fast to your belief in what the Voice told you, saying to yourself, “This is the end of my suffering and from now on everything is being smoothed out so I can devote myself to what I came here to do.” Remember, it is what you think and hold in your consciousness as being so that outmanifests. Then just hold to this despite anything that appears.

If it is true, and we firmly believe it is, then everything—health, finances, work, will be arranged for you, and every limiting thing will be removed.

Can you not see that this, and will you not believe it, after that wonderful experience? That was an actual happening in the highest soul realm; you have been admitted into the Celestial Company, you have been accepted as wholly pure and worthy, cleansed by the purifying fires you have gone through, as you actually witnessed. This must have been so, or you would not have been one of that Company, or would not have been permitted to kneel before the Throne.

Then believe it, dear sister, and God will surely bless you on earth, even as He did then in spirit.
