Also remember that there were comparatively few of those new race souls on earth in that day, and that surrounding them wherever they were, were their former comrades of the old race. But then, even as now, the new race souls kept to themselves and formed into small groups wherever they could; for most of the time they were in the higher consciousness of their Edenic home, where they were being taught by their Higher Selves, by the Gods or the Angels, the truths of being of the soul realm, as well as how to apply these truths in their daily living—even as are taught today those whose minds are centered largely in their soul consciousness and who when possible form into groups to practice the teachings received.

But up to this time man was androgynous by nature—both male and female (the positive, reasoning mind, and the negative intuitional soul) in one organism, like unto the Gods. Keep in mind that we are always dealing in consciousness, and that in these purified souls it means that the conscious mind and the conscious soul were not separate as they are today in unregenerated man. The mind did not think itself separate from the soul, but dwelt in and thought and acted from the soul consciousness; and therefore as all consciousness must express outwardly through organisms created for that purpose, one such organism sufficed for humanity in those days.

Also remember that in unawakened man the Higher Self does not dwell in the soul, and is not known to the mind, but overshadows both; while in reborn and purified souls It dwells in the soul and from there directs all the activities of and is consciously served by the human mind.
