The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | MAY 1936

“Whosoever DOETH the will of God, the same is my brother, my sister, and my mother.”—(Mark 3:35)

Axiomatic Principles of discipleship:

I will recognize Jesus as the ABSOLUTE TEACHER of Truth (John 6:40) I will study His commands as contained in the four Gospels (John 12:48) I will practice His teachings in my daily life. (Luke VI:46-49)

“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, that ye LOVE one another.”—(John 13:35)

Love implies eighteen definite qualifications:

NINE NEGATIVES

Love is not—

Envious, Proud, Boastful, Rude, Intolerant, Angry, Suspicious, Unjust, Unreliable

NINE POSITIVES

Love is—

Kind, Patient, Gentle, Understanding, Truthful, Tolerant, Considerate, Trusting, Confident

(1 Cor. 13)

IN THE SPRINGTIME

DID YOU know that you are a part of Nature—God’s Nature; that each Springtime God always renews His Expression, puts on more beautiful clothing, shows Himself more fully to the world—so that men, along with the grass, the flowers, the trees, the birds and the animals, may acknowledge Him, glorify Him, and yield to Him complete possession of body, mind and soul?

Strive to realize this and to lose self wholly in Him this Springtime, thus allowing His Life—His Christ Nature—to blossom forth resplendent, as He has planned for you from the beginning.
