I asked him why he did not come more often, as this was the first visit for quite some time. He smiled and said, “That would not do. As long as you have me for a crutch to lean on, you will not try to get things for yourself. You have now reached the point in your development where you do not need my help any longer. You are now perfectly familiar with the truth principles, and have only to turn within where your own Higher Self will teach you all things.”

He informed me that he did not come down to us, that we had to rise in consciousness to him. This seems inconsistent, as he has come to me many times when I was not in deep consciousness. One time I was reading the evening paper when he came in, and on several other occasions I was doing my housework. Is it possible for me to be in a deep consciousness, and not be aware of it at the time? If so, it would account for such inopportune visits.

Rajah has played a very important part in my unfoldment. I owe much to him.

When I contacted The Impersonal Life, I showed the book to Rajah. His eyes lighted up, and he said, “That little book contains the essence of all I have taught you.”

I said, “Will you continue to come and teach us its true meaning?”

He shook his head in the negative, and replied, “Only the Christ within each you the ‘Impersonal life.’ I have brought you a long way. Now the time has come for you to stand upon your own feet and travel that alone.”

I was quite downhearted at this remark; but he smiled, and said, “Be not dismayed. Every true disciple must be tested. Was not Jesus tested? And think you the disciple is greater than his Master?”

I said, “No, Rajah.” This was his last visit for about three months. And, friends, those months were the hardest three months I experienced since becoming a Truth student. It just seemed the devil (self) was behind, in front of and all around me, continually trying to uproot the beautiful truths Rajah had taught me. At last, in desperation, I called to Rajah. He came to me, and in his knowing way, said:
