His answer was, “Yes, you will have to get rid of all existing laws; next get rid of all your crooked politicians, crooked judges and lawyers, get rid of dishonest office holders in every line; and then formulate new set of laws based on justice to all.”

I said to him, “I don’t believe it can be done, for they have such a strange-hold over the people.”

He said, “Yes, it can be done; you have men and women who are big enough to bring this about, and unless they act, and act quickly, in a short time you will see in reality what I have shown you.”

The picture of a man I had never seen or heard of at that time was shown me. A few years later I recognized the man from a campaign picture as that of F. D. Roosevelt.

But my guide said: “He has the wrong advice and is on the wrong side, and listens too much to false prophets to really help the people.”

In each city we passed through I saw all the large public buildings, cathedrals, large churches and palatial residences, all in ruins; but the strange part was that no small home, no modest church or school was demolished; all these were left intact.

After passing through all this we came back to our starting point, and I stepped out of the gondola. I thanked him for giving me this ride and said to him, “You look familiar, but I can’t place you just now. Do you mind telling me who you are?”

He said, “Yes, I will tell you. I am the living Christ. Write what has been shown you.” And with that he was gone.

Some of these dead men who had been hung and shot down, I recognized some years later, when their faces had been impressed on my memory. I was shocked when I saw them for the first time; some were receivers for defunct Building and Loan Companies and Banks, some high in political positions.

Again in 1932 I had the very identical dream, and the same admonition to write. I am no writer and have wondered why this vision was twice given to me. I have felt the urge to write this, and it gets stronger every day; so I have set forth the vision just as it was shown me. I would like to hear from some of you who read this.
