This seems to prevision the gathering together of the elect to meet the Lord in the air, and that long lane reaching down to earth as far as the eye could see, strewn with branches was the path our Lord would travel, the green branches symbolizing the love and reverence for Him and all He represented that they had expressed on earth and which had prepared the way for His coming.

The word Avatar being used to designate the Lord, indicated that He will come in a new way or appearance, as is also proven by all shouting, “The King is dead. Long live the King,” and “Viva la Rex”; meaning that the old order under the former King was finished, and the new King would bring a new order and a new state of being.

His being so very large and in armour and riding a great white horse, showed His greatness and His power. But His face not being visible because of the armour, means that He was not ready as yet to show Himself for what He really is.

Our friend missed a wonderful opportunity of meeting Him and receiving His special word for her, because of her still looking to another Teacher, even though one close to the Lord; and therefore showed she was not yet ready to see Him and know Him as He is—the Holy Spirit or the Lord Christ within her own soul.

She states that this vision came without her having been thinking about anything of such nature; in fact, her idea of Christ’s coming had been something very much different.

The fact that it did not come as a result of her meditation or even thinking on the subject makes it valuable as a possible graphic illustration of how the Lord will come in fulfillment of the promises in the Bible verses quoted.

When visions are shown disciples just such illustrations of spiritual truths of a striking nature are used. It could be not only a symbolic outpicturing of the Lord’s return, but perhaps a promise of how those who are worthy will meet Him “in the air.”—The EDITOR.
