I have shown you, thus fortifying your understanding of the Law and strengthening your determination to nothing stand in the way of its accomplishment.”

I told him to pay no attention to his wife’s fears or complaints in the meantime, or to what anyone else said; just to hold fast to his vision, being kind and just to everyone, assuming a new attitude of confidence and positiveness to his dear ones that will buoy them up and at the same time attract to them and himself the forces of good that belong to them.

I told him to follow every leading that came to him, concerned not at all about results, only that he was doing the best he knew how that was given him from within to do; knowing that his own good was but waiting to manifest itself, and that it had to come forth when he did faithfully his part—which was holding steadily to his vision, and trusting the Law. I showed him by so doing he was then working with the Law, and when one thus works with the Law, the Law will always work with and for one.

He left me very grateful and confident, and with a light in his eyes that made me feel he had gotten what he came for. He promised to keep in touch with me and to let me know what happened.

I did not see him again for ten days, when he called to report that he had been offered a fine position, much better than he had looked for, by an old friend from another city. It was a traveling job and meant leaving Akron, but he was very happy over it.

He explained the reason for my not hearing from him before was because the next day his wife insisted on moving to another place to stay, and that he had been offered a temporary job that had kept him busy, enabling him to provide enough food, pay rent and get a few needed things. And then had come the offer of the fine position.

I asked him if he understood just what had happened.

“Yes, I knew, after I left your office, that things were going to change; and I just lived in the expectation of it—in the knowing that something would happen. And it did.”
