of separation, and through wrong teachings and beliefs acquired from childhood, has built into “self” all its qualities that are so unlike God and Your real nature, and which beliefs You as the Higher Self are utilizing to teach it the truth about You and God, by allowing it to learn, through following these beliefs, what is not God’s way and purpose for it. In the earlier stages that is the only way You can teach it—through the mistakes it makes.

THE SOUL

The Soul is the real you (Note the difference in the use of capitals between the “Real You,” referring to the Higher Self, and the “real you,” when referring to the soul. Also that when we speak of “you,” it refers to the lower self of the human mind.), or you in your true consciousness uninfluenced by the outer mind.

It is therefore the inner you or that consciousness which includes all that you have learned from the beginning, not only in this life but during many lives upon earth and in the soul world between incarnations. For it is the sumtotal of all the knowledge you have acquired as taught you by the Higher Self and which has been built into and now constitutes your consciousness.

In other words, your soul is your consciousness—is what many understand as the subconscious. It is the “I” of you that knows, and whose voice is the conscience, which not only constantly cautions and urges you not to do things that it has learned from experience cause trouble and unhappiness, but tries to have you do the things and learn the lessons it came into incarnation expressly to accomplish and learn, under the direction of the Higher Self.

THE KINGDOM

The Kingdom is the Consciousness of the Higher or Christ Self, to which the soul is gradually unfolding as it learns the truth of its nature and obeys the Voice of Love in the heart. As fast as the soul learns this truth it uncovers it to the outer mind, as the mind makes it possible by listening to and heeding its guidance.

In this Kingdom Consciousness one knows that all is good and perfect, and not what appears to the mortal mind; that what the human eyes see and the mortal mind believes, is unreal and exists but in the human “separate” consciousness, and not in God’s and
