thought-pictures which alone man sees. Because of his wrong beliefs, man cannot possibly see as God sees, or know the truth back of what appears in his mind. What appears as evil in his mind, may not be evil at all in God’s Mind; for in God there is no evil—all is and must be Good; for is He not All in all?

Then it must be clear that the only evil there is, is an illusion that exists in man’s mind alone. But what he thinks is evil, cannot be evil, for man’s mind is God’s mind. Man in his distorted vision and wrong understanding only thinks it is evil; therefore it is evil or seems evil to him—but not to God.

BUT WHAT about the crimes that man commits? How can it be God that causes or even permits him to commit crimes?

It is in the answer to this question that the reader must try to see with God’s eyes and to understand with Him, if he would learn the truth of God’s being All in all. In other words, he will have to orient himself above and outside of his human self and outside of humanity, and look down upon them from the viewpoint where time and separate individuals are but as the letters and spaces on a printed page—of themselves they have no meaning and no special significance.

Looking at men in this light, they are but forms or bodies to perpetuate life. The bodies have no life or intelligence of themselves. But life and intelligence that entered them (for those moments in eternity; used them, and then discarded them) persists, and gradually evolved and unfolded in them a greater capacity for intelligence, and ever built them into higher and better forms for its expression. Remember, it was God’s Life and Intelligence doing this—not man’s.

From such a view-point, what is crime? What is it but acts done in ignorance through lack of sufficient intelligence? What does a crime mean to a body or a soul, for a hundred, a thousand, a hundred thousand, a million years—which are all but as moments, in eternity?
