The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | DECEMBER 1933

Lord and Leader; and then call upon His Spirit within you to come forth and rule, motivate and inspire every thought, word and act throughout the day. You, who of yourself are nothing but the outer expression of His Self, retire that day, and let Him live His life, do His will, be His Self every moment of it, without let or hindrance of any kind from you. Would that not be wonderful, if you can do that—which you can, if you will?

Let this be His Day, so that all your dear ones may see Him looking out of your eyes, may hear the soft gentleness of His voice when you speak, may receive His blessing in the love that you radiate; so that they too may open wide their hearts and allow Him to possess them, thus filling the home with the transcendant Glory of His Presence.

Let all who aspire to be or deem themselves to be His Disciples, make their homes a place where He will surely come and participate with you in sweet communion in the joy of that Blessed Day. If you do, maybe the Glory and Blessing of it will follow you throughout the coming year. That is our dearest wish for you.

A YEAR has passed since the initial number of THE INNER LIFE came to birth. In that number we promised certain things, chief of which was to inform our readers all about the Soul and its life in the inner world, in order to make them so well acquainted with it that when, through the natural opening of their inner faculties they became aware of their own soul life at first hand, they would understand just what was happening to them and what it all meant. The other main promise was to herald the New Age and to furnish them with all the needed information regarding it.
