IN THE above our friend states that in the parousia the process of His Coming will be reversed from that of His Ascension and that Jesus will descend invisibly wrapt in clouds, and then later will burst forth visibly and bodily as the Sun of Righteousness. Then he suggests that the parousia or presence of Christ with His Saints “above the earth” will cover a period of seven years or longer.

This seems to be borne out by the words of the two angels who said He would come in like manner as He was seen to go into Heaven. For even as in the period before His Ascension and after His Crucifixion He appeared only to His disciples; so at His Second Advent there will follow a period during which, after His first appearance, He will be visible only to His appointed servants—those who meet Him “in the air.”

How long will be this period is not revealed; it will probably depend upon the time it takes to organize and establish His Kingdom upon the earth. But this we may know, when He comes, whether or not He is visible to all men on earth, the Old Order disappears and His rule begins, nevermore to be changed for His people.

Everything indicates His Coming is close at hand. Let all of His true followers be watchful and ready. They can be sure to be ready, by striving constantly to be conscious of His Presence—by letting Love rule every moment of the day and night. The more you thus strive, the easier it will become; and finally you will know—the Heavens will open and you will actually see Him there and be lifted to where He is.
