the result of the disappearing—the withdrawing of the power formerly exercised by self, the misuse of which has unfitted man for a further entrusting of it to him? So it has been taken away and is now given only to the few who have proven themselves worthy through long and severe testing. The testing is continuing, and others one by one are emerging from the fires of tribulation, with purified and strengthened souls, all the unregenerate qualities of self burned from them, and they are humbly and gladly asking to serve their Great Leader, Christ, and to be given the opportunity of helping their fellowmen.

When the Spiritual power of the race is at its lowest ebb, and that seemingly is now nearly reached, the people can only wait for the tide to turn and bring with its inflow new life, new strength and a new consciousness. History has proven that over and over again, and with each new inflow the spiritual consciousness of the race is washed higher on the beach of Reality.

In the meantime the forces back of this tide are gathering power and momentum to accomplish what will inevitably follow. It is true, the forces of selfishness will try to prevent it, but they might as well try to push back the tide of the ocean as to prevent the purpose of the Spiritual Forces guiding the destiny of humanity.

One of the greatest proofs coming to our attention that all humanity is going through a testing period, is the number of people who, through losing all their worldly goods, having formerly had wealth or plenty to satisfy every need, have been humbled and brought to their knees before God, and who are now acknowledging Him as their only support, supply and sustenance, instead of the incomes or salaries on which they formerly depended and deemed their source of supply.
