The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | MAY 1935

selfishness and to salve their consciences for the sins they knowingly are committing against God and their fellowmen.

Then try to realize that in such false worship and pretense of serving God, Jesus Christ and the Saints, they actually create in the realm of the Astral world thought-forms of these Beings which are then utilized, owned, and controlled by these demons described, who perform “signs and wonders” for their votaries, mediums, ministers, so as to keep alive their faith in them, and thus maintain their influence over them and over all their worshipers.

Our author claims, with many good arguments in his favor, that similar demons have entitized the thought-forms of the votaries and believers in the powers of the “sun,” “moon” and “stars” of the “astral” heavens, and that these demons actually affect and influence those who go to astrologers for guidance and trust in the horoscopes cast for them. Those who believe in the law that “Whatever one thinks and holds in consciousness as being so, out-manifests itself in one’s body and affairs,” can easily see how this can be.

The whole article, in fact the whole book, is filled with thoughts that cannot be read and lightly cast aside, for nearly all of them make so profound an impression upon the mind that if one takes the trouble to stay with each thought until all of its inner meaning is uncovered, he will surely be richly repaid for the effort.

We know this will cast a new and different light on the subject to many of our readers who in the past may have been interested in and have believed in Astrology. But if they will reread carefully our reply to inquiries in the third paragraph of this article, they will see the good that can be gotten from its study and will discard the rest.
