The Inner Life
THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | NOVEMBER 1933
You may ask if such a thing is possible—to be so prepared that one will be unaffected by whatever happens. We will let you decide that after reading what follows.
We have indicated in previous editorials and articles that humanity has reached the end of another term in life’s school, and that all people, no matter in what grade, are being examined, tested and proven to learn who are ready and able to pass on into the next grade. As at the end of all such terms, another graduating class is preparing to pass on and out into the universal life, its members no longer bound by school, college or university rules or teachers, but now equipped to use and prove the knowledge gained in their many terms in life’s school.
We will consider that graduating class as composed of those who have thoroughly learned the illusions of the outer life and of all it contains, and that only by following and fully acquainting themselves with God and His Teachers, and living His Life of Righteousness as taught and exemplified by these Teachers, no matter of what race or to what peoples, can they find and abide in His Kingdom, where alone is to be found the freedom, harmony, peace and happiness that humanity seeks. All the individuals of this graduating class are now undergoing the tests and the proving of their worthiness to receive their diplomas; while all other classes are similarly being tried and proven to see if they are ready to pass on into their next grades.
From this it cannot be otherwise concluded than that all humanity is definitely graded and is being wisely and lovingly taught, each grade according to its spiritual understanding and unfoldment. And that there be no misinterpretation of the meaning of the word “spiritual,” we state that it means understanding and love of God.
