THERE are those of our friends who have wondered at what they term the mixed philosophies found in this Magazine. In fact two or three have written us asking for explanations.

Because they find quotations from Theosophical books and from some of the Eastern teachings, quite a lot of occult and spiritualistic references, a considerable number of psychic articles and more or less straight New Thought teachings; all mixed with the pure Christ and Impersonal teachings that are the evident foundation and essence of what the Magazine is endeavoring to put forth, they suggest that it might be better if we chose and stuck to a definite form of philosophy.

Some even feel that in our listing and advertising certain New Thought, spiritualistic and occult books we are not living up to the spirit of the teachings of our own publications; in fact are making available to readers who look to us as authority literature that is not in accordance with the truths we advocate.

In order that all who read this Magazine may clearly understand its mission and purpose, we will repeat what was stated in its first Editorial, when introducing THE INNER LIFE to the public:
