We do wish, therefore, to advise all sincere seekers of the True Way, that despite claims made by any school or teaching that such can develop spiritual faculties and powers and enable a student to contact his spiritual master, or can teach a shortcut to mastery and to God, such a school or teacher, unless pointing the way of Jesus Christ, has not the true teaching and should be shunned. Anyone entering such a school or who responds to the appeal of such teaching does so at great risk. For that which feels such appeal and urges the response to it is self, and such school or teacher prospers chiefly by appealing to self, and then by feeding the self of each seeker.
