truth are they the silent rulers of Hindu India, even as are the great minds of the Western world the real rulers of their countries.

Has it occurred to you that we have equally as great and perhaps greater minds in the United States than in India, but that they are using their powers in different ways? One need but look at the vast industrial plants of America and what they are doing; at the great railroad systems; the wonderful airway systems; the radio and movie industries—to realize that these minds are devoting their powers to what are called practical uses.

Who will say they are lesser powers than those that enable one to disappear at will; to transport himself to a distant place without physical assistance; to walk or sit on water; or to live to the age of 300 years? Are they not but a different use of the same powers of concentration, and a knowledge of the same laws of mind? It is the different viewpoints of Eastern and Western minds that cause us to marvel at the powers and accomplishments of the other.

Again we say, we print these tales of the powers of the Eastern Sadhus in order to stimulate and encourage those who see in the Mind articles the possibilities of what may be attained by any who have the vision, the will-power and persistency to discipline their minds and make them do the things they want them to do. —The EDITOR.
