bodies is no more than a kiss, an embrace or a hand-clasp—only as you think it is more. It is what you put into these acts that makes them a sin, for you can put lust into any one of them and thus commit adultery—according to the Master’s words. On the other hand, if you put pure love into them, the resulting ecstacy is well known to every real lover.

We are trying to show that it is what you hold in your mind and heart during sex union that alone counts and affects creators and what is created. For we have shown it is a creative act.

There are three methods of creating—by thought, by the spoken word, and by the sex act. We know there is power in thought, and more power in the spoken word, but the greatest power is in the sex act, because of combining thought and the act and thereby calling into play the creative power of God in its full potency at the culminating moment.

The sex organs were placed in the human body to be used for the Father’s purpose only, and not for sex pleasure. But man is entitled to all the pleasure to be derived from the act, providing it is performed in true love and to serve the Father’s purpose.

And now we will tell you how you may serve His purpose when there is any sex urge on the part of husband or wife, and no seeming response in you, turn within to Him and place it all in His hands, asking Him to take care of it and if it is His will for you to please your mate, to show you how to do this, force wholly in His service, willing to do whatever He arranges, in the full realization that He knows best and that nothing can hurt you, for you are not body or mind—you are pure spirit and cannot sin in His eyes.

Likewise should the sex urge come to you, all that is needed is immediately to turn within and yield its force and lift it up to Him—its true purpose, to bring you into union with Him. And with each resistance of such nature to the so-called tempter, you will find developing in you an ever growing power first to wait upon and serve Him, and then to enter in and abide in His Consciousness.

Sex is indeed a very subtle tempter, and the serpent is its fitting symbol. It servilely comes forth and puts its snaky suggestions
