IN THE article entitled “Who You Are,” in the November issue of this Magazine, we presented some startling facts, the chief of which was that you were the creator of your body and that you gave it life, mind and will; but that you were far different from what the ordinary man thinks is you.

In that article we promised to show how this you is not only I AM, the Divine Reality of you, but is Jesus Christ in you—is in fact, very God Himself.

We believed we proved clearly that what most men think is the self of them is but their minds’ concept of themselves—what their minds think they are, but that they in their reality are far different; that their minds are but their instruments of expression in the outer world as their hands are the instruments of their minds, and that the mind has to be developed, taught and trained much as a parent teaches and trains a child.

In fact, it is not difficult, when the mind fully grasps what was stated in the other article, to realize that you are actually the “father” of your mind, that it is your child and disciple which you have been teaching, guiding, training and disciplining from the beginning, whether it knew it or not.

Sooner or later however, the mind will realize this, will become fully aware of you, seemingly hidden somewhere within, in the invisible; until it finally understands that you are all that your body is, all that your mind is; that all life, power, knowledge is of and from you; that it is in your consciousness only that the thinking part of it just lives, moves and has its being, and that you are all that is.

It is going to take some time, it is true, for even the most earnest student to arrive at this realization—for him to be able always to think, speak and act from within, and not from the consciousness of the outer mind as at present; and thereby to know his mind for just what it is and to deal with it accordingly, as the instrument he is preparing and using to express himself and to accomplish God’s will on earth even as planned in Heaven.
