NOW WE will say again that very few people on earth are conscious of themselves as not being that thinking part of them located in the brain; in fact all but those very few will not believe otherwise—but will claim they are that part, believing they are their minds. Therefore it will be very difficult for most readers even to think of themselves as different from and greater than that thinking part—that part which is so concerned about life, health, money and physical things generally.

But it is because all who are preparing for the New Age must be able to retire back into their true consciousness at will, and be free themselves from their minds’ concerns and from all outer things, before the Great Tribulation comes, that we are striving so persistently to impress this fact upon our readers and to get as many as possible to turn their thoughts and energies in this direction.

One cannot be a real Inner Worker until he can free himself from his brain mind and direct his thoughts and his consciousness where he wills. Remember you are I AM, are pure Spirit, a center of the One Consciousness, and being you are not bound or confined by matter, time or space. As Consciousness you are wherever you think you are. If you think you are in a body of flesh, for the moment you are there. But the next moment your centered thought may be with a friend in New York, or with a dear one in spirit. If you can only know it, you actually are with this friend or that dear one, while thus with them in deep thought; because you have to be where your consciousness is—for you are consciousness! The full knowledge of this one fact will cause the knower to witness many seeming miracles.

Yes, you as consciousness are that which directs and uses your mind, and causes it by thinking to do all that your body does and all that your human personality does, both in the visible and in the invisible planes of being; for you as the user of your mind and personality naturally are not limited to the physical world as a sphere of activity, but can work with much greater ease in the realm of mind, and with still greater ease in the realm of infinite spirit, where there are no limiting forms, all being just pure consciousness and intelligence.
