The Inner Life
THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | MARCH 1934
Then as he watched he gradually learned there was abroad in the world a great brotherhood of loving servers, unknown to each other outwardly, but all seeming to have one common purpose—the helping of others in their need; but always telling them about God and explaining how He was within them, not some big man up in the skies; He was that Something within that was ever trying to get them to be good and kind to others, and to trust Him for all their needs.
And he saw that little by little this brotherhood was gaining ground, getting more and more of those they served to forget self and to turn to God and allow Him to take care of them, and they then helping others to know Him as they now knew Him.
His time was up. He returned to Heaven, and falling on his knees, I heard him cry:
“Oh Father God, I love them all. These humans are working out their own salvation. Some call it evil, but we know it is only experience.”
His words were spoken in the same sweet voice I remembered, but a new quality was there. And I knew it was Love.
