A careful and understanding study of St. John’s Gospel, especially of Jesus’ own sayings, proves that Jesus was something far higher and more wonderful than the world yet conceives; that He is truly the “Word made flesh,” or very God in expression in a form sent to show and tell of the wondrous Love, Wisdom, and Power of God. One cannot hear His words and believe otherwise, which means we must accept His statements as truth, or not accept them or Him at all.

I and My Father are One.—John 10:30.

He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father.—John 14:9.

He that seeth Me, seeth Him that sent Me.—John 12:45.

I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world. Again I leave the world and go to the Father.—John 16:28.

COULD any mere man say those words and the world be changed by them, as our world has been changed by Jesus’ words, even though it knows not yet their mighty meaning or what they have done to it? There are men in the world who have learned who Jesus Christ is, who have found the Light and in that Light within them the Christ Life or His Consciousness, that has lifted them above and out of the darkness that comprehendeth not.

In that Consciousness they can clearly see the unreality of all things that were binding them to the world, the flesh and the devil of self; that these things were all self-created and exist only in the mind of self. Therefore such must be subject to the law of Moses, which was given by God solely to control self and prevent it from having its way. But in the Light of His Consciousness—far “above” the darkness of self—there is no bondage, no laws that control and teach men the effects of selfish thinking; for where self is not, there is only the law of perfect Love.
