The Inner Life
THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | OCTOBER 1935
to students of psychology and metaphysics who are seeking the causes of mental aberrations.
Many of the cases were checked afterward by the author and the obsessing entities found to have actually lived at the places claimed, proving that such spirits are earth-bound and need to be taught the error of their material beliefs, when they are freed from their earth-bonds and rise to higher realms of consciousness.
Inner Workers, in possession of these facts, when called upon to help in a case of obsession, can talk to the obsessing spirit and tell it the truth, explaining patiently just what it is doing, that it is a soul has no right to interfere with another’s body or life. By knowing the power of truth and by appealing to the God of each spirit when talking to it, a Worker can do as effective work as, if not more than, the Doctor and his wife, without the risk attending them.
In the positive knowing that God, or the One Mind, is in every intelligent being, whether in the physical or out of it, and paying no attention to what appears, one can talk with powerful effect to the soul of an obsessing entity. All it needs is to recognize that entity as a conscious part of the One Mind and that its soul hears and understands; then by declaring the truth of its being—that it is free, unbound by earth and mortal beliefs, and must be about its Father’s business for which it was created, leaving every other soul free to do the same,—one will soon see or feel the entity leave the one obsessed. Then, thanking God for this freedom, see and KNOW that the God of the ones freed will take care of them henceforth—and it will be so.

LEADERSHIP
DEATH pursues life. Is there anything without its opposite? Or any cause without its consequence? Or any light that casts no shadow?
So I tell you that your very inmost thoughts awaken hosts that otherwise had slept, as sound awakens echoes. Therefore it is neither miracle nor mystery that there is no escape from spies nor any safety other than an upright zeal that makes haste, leaving the spies forever a march behind.
This is the so-called mystery of leadership. —From The Book of Sayings of Tsang Samdup.
