The Inner Life
THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | APRIL 1936
Very swiftly, in brilliant, clear Light, the two figures came towards us, and the hand faded out. The Child came right down in front of us only two yards away and looked directly into my eyes. His eyes were round and blue and He had a perfectly beautiful face and figure dressed in a white robe. He smiled a little. Then He seemed to disappear, and I turned my gaze to the Man Christ also coming swiftly toward earth.
He was very, very large, dressed in a flowing white robe. I saw His face clearly and He looked directly at both of us and most pleasantly, though He was not exactly smiling. He was beautiful and all Light—it shone through and radiated from Him.
He came swiftly and we seemed to know He came to stay, to heal and cleanse and rule. He then disappeared behind the tops of the trees of the wood across the way. The earth seemed to become all light and I felt that He would straighten out all the tangles of humanity and we could indeed “Lay our burdens at His feet, and take a song away,” a Song of Light, Peace, Joy. Then I woke up fairly panting with deep emotion.
I can at any time bring back this glorious vision and see it clearly. Is not this a most wonderful gift from God, so beautifully to bless me with this vision of His Son? I was not awake—physically—but I was never before so vivified, so completely alive and aware—in mind, soul, and Spirit—as I was when experiencing what I have tried to describe.

LOVE, THE GREAT REDEEMER
By S. B.
CRUCIFIED, dead and buried—but not yet risen,
The First faint gleams of Light break through the prison.
Love waits.
Love, the Great Redeemer, quickening
The soul in resurrection, till it swing
The gates
And roll away the stone before the door—
His image and His likeness evermore
Creates.
