THE RESPIRATORY tract is symbolized in our mentality as Inspiration, and the nose as Discrimination.

People suffering with Asthma and Sinus Trouble are but outmanifesting a wrong use of the discriminating faculty or a lack of proper inspiration in the consciousness.

I have had the opportunity to watch the development of a case of Asthma for a period of many years. The man who suffers from this condition was, several years ago, a successful farmer. By hard work and thrift he had become the owner of a half section of valuable land in a good farming district.

A condition arose in the county in which he lived whereby he was able to render valuable service to politicians at the county seat in settling a boundary dispute. He really deserved consideration at their hands and they attempted to reward him. They told him that if he would run for some office in the county they could assure his election.

He decided to run for County Treasurer. Now here is where proper discrimination should have been exercised. He was a man of good character and his honesty was unquestioned, but he was totally unfit for the office from a standpoint of clerical and executive ability.

A few years before this a man was elected to the same office not properly qualified for the work, and as a result the records became so confused that expensive experts had to be called in to straighten them out. The first named man had been living in the county and he had given the matter of his own candidacy proper consideration, he should have known that this matter would be brought up in the campaign.

The man who ran against him was a young man of as good reputation but he was an expert accountant and trained in the handling of financial matters. The voters while they had respect
