The Inner Life

THE HERALD OF THE NEW AGE | APRIL 1936

At this stage of my vision I knew that if I looked around I would discover things which had been troubling me for a long time. Remember, I had left my physical body lying on the couch, but I was also in the astral world in an astral body. I could see both of these bodies and they were dressed alike. I was now seeing with the eyes of my Soul; the only difference I could distinguish between the two bodies was that they were in different dimensions of space; for I was now in the fourth dimension while my physical body was in the third dimension of space.

This was the most wonderful sight my eyes had ever looked upon, and I wondered within myself who this woman might be. The answer came back on the wings of thought, “IT IS YOU, YOURSELF. It is your Spiritual Body.” But, I asked, “Why all the jewels? I’m not rich.” And instantly this answer flashed into my mind. “Those are the spiritual truths which you have adorned your consciousness. Then I seemed to know in my Soul mind that it would be impossible for one to clothe oneself like that in the short span of forty years of earth-life, and instantly I realized that the jewels symbolized the spiritual truths learned and become a part of the soul in many incarnations. Then suddenly
