So it is with the man who is a true Positive. He appears to be a strong individual. He finds he is unable to do any so-called “wrong”; can injure none nor cause deliberate grief. He finds his path is up the ladder, never down; yet with no injustice done. He sees brave measures, bills and treaties, acts of king or church or state, as helpful for a little while to alleviate conditions in the world; but he also discerns that they fail to accomplish a cure. He finds that only through the individuals who have joined the Positive School will the problems of the world be solved. He knows that force and aggressiveness do not constitute the way, for they are negative and must be transmuted into positive power.
In times of unusual need unusual methods, such as this mental positiveness, must be employed despite the influences and restrictions of race-habit thought, which strives to keep men negative and unconscious of their fundamental power within themselves. The negative conditions in the world today afford rare opportunity for training and experience in becoming a Positive who can control himself and his environment.
In following this method of positiveness the aspirant to power is asked to observe that every surface condition on the earth is subject to the law of change. Therefore, all members of the Positive School have ceased to augment negative forces through any acquiescence to the thought, speech or acts of those who, by their negativeness, usurp man’s right to positive power. This is the need of man today, to learn to be a Positive instead of a negative. It is not easy or accomplished in a short time, but it is the only way that man will find the cure for his disease.
The whole ritual of the Pyramid was, in effect, to warn and train the candidate to disperse the negative in its
