service permitted for those who are capable of being so used. Always they are under the guidance and protection of a Brother of Light on a higher plane of consciousness, often invisible to the one so guided.

You will note she was on the etheric plane, which is an exact duplicate of the earth plane and closest to it; in fact, it is the etheric extension of the earth plane. That is why she needed the protection of the “shimmering white cloak,” which was the cloak of consciousness placed around her by her invisible Brother and Guide; and that is why those dark forces were so close and waiting for a possible opportunity to secure a victim.

In her eager desire to obey the call and to reach quickly the one to be helped, our friend got only a fleeting glimpse of those “birds” in the “cages,” and did not have time to analyse her feelings or her action in spreading her cloak before them. But in the morning, while meditating over what she had been through, the reason for and meaning of it all was made clear to her.

It was a very interesting and instructive experience.
