—to help those we left behind on the earth plane, and who need it so sorely.”

A tremendous force seemed to envelop me, and I was borne, it appeared, through a filmy cloud. I was not alone; Uncle Peter’s arm still embraced my shoulders.

The cloud was not vapourous, like earth clouds, but, as I later learned was formed of thought vibrations of another plane.

We travelled swiftly, without effort, on and on.

On our journey I learned an interesting fact. One is carried on from mind to mind—that in this new world, which is but a continuation of the old—in a new form of life which has no end, there are many planes of being. These planes interpenetrate one another, yet their boundaries, to use the terminology of earth, are clearly and irrevocably defined.

As most people on earth recognize the “natural laws,” so-called, it may here be stated that the “Eternal Mind,” “Heavenly Father,” “God”—by whatever name one associates the Life-Giving Force which creates and permeates all forms of life—has formulated laws which, with infinite exactitude, govern all planes of life or being. One law, concerning which I was to be greatly instructed as I understood its workings more fully, I will illustrate at this time.

Traveling with swiftness of light, we found ourselves on a high plateau. The scenery had changed. The gardens and oaks so familiar to my boyhood, upon which my eyes had first rested in this new world, were gone as in a dream. There were trees, but none I had ever seen before. They had strangely misshapen trunks and peculiar triangular leaves. All about were piled rocks, which appeared to recede into many caves.

Soon I saw people moving about me. They seemed unhappy, and were looking carefully about them as if in doubt of their present status either in mind or body.

I was wondering why I had been taken to this place, the very antithesis of my former scene of beauty.

“Look about you carefully, dear lad,” the calm voice seemed to breathe in my ear.

The revelation came to me suddenly.
